Welcome

In the midst of the chaos that our country is suffering through, it is clear that we need a discussion about how we got here.  Heroes are in our streets, fighting not only for freedom but for our collective humanity.  Significant changes to government and society are needed to rebuild everything that we have lost – faith and trust in government, respect for individual differences, harmony between neighbors, and the confidence and support of historic allies.  

Racism, xenophobia, economic inequality, ineffective government and representation – everything we are experiencing now – did not start in 2024 or 2016.  Their roots go back to our country’s founding and even earlier.  Without a better understanding of where we are and how we got here, we cannot make the meaningful changes needed to repair the damage.

This blog examines some of the root causes of today’s crisis and points to possible ways forward.  Without a clearer grasp of where we are and how we arrived here, meaningful change will stay out of reach.
